Jim Giddens

Director of Operations

Jim Giddens is Twenty Valley’s first Director of Operations. Over his more than 40 years of business and golf experience Jim has developed a hands-on skill set to manage many types of operations while specializing in bringing them to maximum potential and profitability.

Most recently Jim was Director of Golf Operations for two 18-hole, semi-private golf courses, responsible for their day-to-day operating functions; setting up and running six house leagues; 150+ tournaments per season; and helping coordinate 50+ weddings and receptions per season.

Previous to this Jim worked for ten years with Golf Town in Ancaster, becoming a top Sales Associate while starting up their Corporate Promotional Department. Jim also created and conducted a variety of in-house staff sales seminars.

In the 1980s he started his own company supplying workers for construction, manufacturing and commercial industries. He operated this company successfully for almost 20 years employing 100+ people daily.

Back in the 1970s and early 80s Jim worked in the restoration and construction field as an estimator. He also started a branch office in St. Catharines, then moved to Ottawa to rebuild and run the Eastern Operations. He moved back to Toronto to become the Head Office General Manager of a multi-million dollar company, overseeing hundreds of various levels of employees.

Jim has been married for the past 42 years to wife Wendy. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.

Eileen McIntosh

Steven Muys

Golf Course Superintendent

Steve grew up in Copetown, Ontario (near Hamilton) and started in the golf industry while in high school, working at Hamilton Golf & Country Club. In 1992 Steve accepted a position at Heron Point as Golf Course Mechanic and after a year was promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Steve received his formal industry training from the University of Guelph where he graduated in 1994. In 1998 he moved to Diamond Back Golf Club in Richmond Hill as Golf Course Superintendent. While here, the club hosted two successful CPGA events. Steve moved to Twenty Valley in 2000 and over his years here has spearheaded many improvements to the club.

Steve continues to enjoy every day he spends at the course and can often be seen accompanied by his dog, Wicket who also enjoys greeting members, guests and has been made an honourary member of the maintenance team. Steve currently resides in Grimsby with his wife and two daughters.

Ron Kenesky

Ron Kenesky

CPGA Head Professional

Ron began his golf career at the age of 14 when he worked in the back shop at Southbrook Golf and Country Club in Binbrook, Ontario. By age 17, Ron was working the Pro Shop counter at Southbrook and during that time he would win five consecutive Men’s Club Championships at Southbrook; He turned professional joining the CPGA in 1997 and moved to Hidden Lake Golf Club in Burlington in 1998 spending the next 14 golf seasons there, completing his CPGA apprenticeship. He became a Class ‘A’ Professional in the PGA of Canada in 2007.

A well respected player, Ron won the 2010 Ontario PGA Championship at Barrie Country Club firing rounds of 65-69 to win by two shots. He also won the Great Lakes Tour Championship for the Moe Norman Cup in 2007 and finished the 2012 season as the 32nd ranked player in the PGA of Canada National Player Rankings.

A graduate of Mohawk College’s Business Administration program, Ron is a very established golf instructor with many years teaching experience. His students have range in ability from beginner through to golf professionals.

Gerald Meechan

Jessica Steers

Events Manager

Jessica Steers joins the team as Events Manager, bringing with her a long list of qualifications serving in a variety of capacities at many Niagara high profile events, including the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival, Niagara Winter Festival of Lights, and Niagara College’s Runway Art Hair. Jessica received Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Sociology from Brock University, and most recently graduated Niagara College’s Post-Graduate Event Management Program.

Jessica's friendly demeanor, strong problem-solving skills, educational background, and event experience make her a strong addition to the Twenty Valley team. As the Events Manager, Jessica is involved in all aspects of event sales, marketing and coordination of our tournaments, weddings, anniversaries, meetings, and other events offered at Twenty Valley.
