Spring Fling: Golf, Dinner & Dance

Please plan to attend the Spring Golf, Dinner & Dance on Saturday, May 28. Members often mention that they'd like a spring event, so Joan Elves and I decided to organize the first one – to see what happens. To date 12 teams have registered (thanks to those who have already signed up) but we hope to have a full field of 20 teams. So, please come join in a fun day of golfing and socializing after the long winter – and a nasty spring! Here are the details.

Prior to golf, a Soup and Sandwich lunch buffet will be available at 11:30 am priced at $12.00.

Player registration will be at 12 o'clock and the shotgun tournament begins at 1pm.

The Format

The golf format will be the popular "Sixsome's". A Sixsome team is comprised of 3 couples – paired with opposite spouses OR 3 groups of 2 partners. Three balls are in play for each team, alternate shot from tee to cup. Record 3 gross scores for each hole. Winning "Sixsome" team will have the low total alternate shot score, the winning 2 person team will have the low total alternate shot score.

Longest Drive Competition

There will be an unusual longest drive competition and will be judged by "The President and First Lady". Bribing the judges could be fun, but probably won't work

Wine Tasting, Dinner & Dance

After golf we hope to have a wine tasting bar – Andrew is working with his suppliers so let's keep our fingers crossed. Brad and his staff have planned a special dinner that will be served at 6:30pm. During dinner Brody will announce tournament winners and names will be drawn for an assortment of prizes. Dancing to Dominoes Disc Jockey Service follows dinner – "Live Long – Dance Often!"

• Dinner, Dance only: member & non member $122.00
• The $148.00 fee for weekday members does not apply
• Members, you may charge to your account
• Non-members may pay by cheque
