2011 Spring Fling a Success

Eighty four members and guests played a Sixsome's golf format at the Spring Fling held on May 28th. The sun shone, golf carts were out, friends were laughing, what more can we want?

Southbrook Wines provided a complimentary wine tasting and Fourty Creek donated 3 bottles of their finest. Thanks Andrew, many of us enjoyed the wine.

Dinner was excellent. Assorted rolls, mandarin sesame salad with balsamic, penne in rose sauce, Mediterranean stuffed chicken in pesto sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, vegetable sauté and completed with berry crepes with caramel butter drizzle. Nicely done Brad & staff – we were very impressed!

DJ Dominoes Disc Jockey Service played after golf, during dinner and for dancing. The dance floor was not packed, but those dancing did enjoy themselves. Six spot prizes were won by the dancers.

There was a "hiccup". We forgot to say a blessing before dinner. Kay Underhill was all set to perform the honour and we forgot. Our apologies to the dinner guests and to Kay for this oversight.

The staff at Twenty Valley once again went above and beyond to ensure our day was successful. Thank You! to the maintenance crew, pro shop and club house staff for providing your excellent service. We appreciate your services very much.
